Secure that hotel or cafe Wi-Fi with a low-tier, no-cost home VPN
"Hamachi" is a decent service.
Study on how to use it.

Also, you need to be aware that any WiFi hotspot, or encrypted WLAN can still get your info (transmitted to and from the WLAN router) if you accept the "Certificate" from that router.
These excursions into unknown WiFi LAN’s can be serious trouble if you don’t know what’s going on in the entire realm of Networks.

Best advice is to arrange some kind of pre-payment for your regular billing cycles, and remove the risk of having your delicate info slurped.

As far as getting into your computer, put all connections into the "Public" setting, which blocks intrusions. (Vista & Win7)
XP is a bit different. It has, by default, "Printer and File sharing" enabled, which must be disabled. Look in the Network settings for this. (wireless I believe).

In one of my many, many travels abroad to Paris I moseyed casually down L’Avenue des Champs Elysées to the Place de la Concorde, where I promptly discovered a Diable En Boîte (Jack in the box) where I smugly and snobbishly enjoyed the fine cuisine within while the dignitaries looked longingly on in their passing by.

LMFAO! It took me about 5 websites and 15 minutes to put together that load of crap so if I don’t get 10 points I damn sure better get an "E" for effort. :P

I recommend that you work for someone else for a while who already has a business to learn the ropes because there any many thing you will need to learn that can only be learnt through experience. The more experience you have the easier it will be to get started.

The reason this is a big deal for me is because I’m going to Paris for school. I’ll need to use the internet.

Also, do libraries have free internet access?
The reason I asked is because I’ve never used them, in any country.

Internet cafes charge you because they live on that. They rent PCs and charge you for Internet or to print.

The best is to bring your laptop, with wifi and go to Mc Donald’s, Starbucks or to other many places that have free wifi.

You can also use Internet for free at public libraries but you have to subscribe, it’s free.

Your school may give you better advice.

If you have a smartphone, then showing the ticket on the screen is often fine if it is for a theatre or similar reservation.

If it’s a plane ticket then you need to know whether you are flying from Gatwick or Heathrow as the Heathrow express is from Paddington and the Gatwick Express is from Victoria.

I was in interior design for a year and tbh, in this economy its horrid!!! There is no degree in just interior decorating that I know of but there is one in interior design. I actually left the art institute of seattle because I hated it and all of the projects wasn’t like I thought it would be. You have to hand draft most of the floor plans and it take up to 6 hours a night working on one simple floor plan. I thought it was just easy stuff like decorating rooms and matching colors, wow, I was wrong!

The people that I did meet that got a interior design degree at the school turned out working for furniture stores and not actually working as interior designers. It must be hard finding jobs a a interior designer these days if most of the recent graduates are working in furniture stores.
