  • How do internet cafes work in Paris?

Posted by admin on January 21st, 2012 and filed under cafes | 5 Comments »

I’m moving to Paris in a week for 5 months and the place I’ll be living doesn’t have internet access.
They say there are internet cafes in the neighborhood, but are internet cafes free?
The reason this is a big deal for me is because I’m going to Paris for school. I’ll need to use the internet.

Also, do libraries have free internet access?
The reason I asked is because I’ve never used them, in any country.

Internet cafes charge you because they live on that. They rent PCs and charge you for Internet or to print.

The best is to bring your laptop, with wifi and go to Mc Donald’s, Starbucks or to other many places that have free wifi.

You can also use Internet for free at public libraries but you have to subscribe, it’s free.

Your school may give you better advice.

Public libraries, free acces to computers and Internet

Any internet cafes open late near Paddington or Victoria in London?

Posted by admin on January 1st, 2012 and filed under cafes | 2 Comments »

I need to print out a ticket but my local cafe’s printer (which I just went to) is not working. Is there anywhere near Paddington or Victoria that’s open late, preferably until 11pm, or at least 10pm? Would really appreciate if someone could reply quickly if there’s such a place.

If you have a smartphone, then showing the ticket on the screen is often fine if it is for a theatre or similar reservation.

If it’s a plane ticket then you need to know whether you are flying from Gatwick or Heathrow as the Heathrow express is from Paddington and the Gatwick Express is from Victoria.

A quick google found these in victoria but no opening hours:

What kind of turkey do they use at diners and cafes?

Posted by admin on August 10th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 5 Comments »

It’s so much thicker but it doesn’t seem like it’s coming from an actual turkey breast. My mom goes to the deli in shop rite and asks for thin sliced turkey and when I put a few slices on my sandwich, it looks pathetic because there is nothing there but I don’t want to load up 50 slices of turkey on one sandwich!! So how do the diners and cafes get their turkey so perfect?!

Most diners use processed turkey(it arrives pre-cooked) they just re-heat it and serve. It’s basically the same stuff your mom gets from the supermarket deli only sliced a little thicker. How about asking your mom to have the deli workers slice a quarter pound or so slightly thicker for you?

What are some underground music cafes or pubs offering good alternative music in London?

Posted by admin on July 27th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 1 Comment »

It’s going to be my first trip to London and I want to get the best out of my visit. Of course I’m going to take a look at the regular tourist sites yet I want to get a taste of the local life too. Any recommendations on can’t miss out pubs etc would be appreciated. I want to get a good itinerary planed out.

I would just take a walk and explore that for myself

Where are some of the good neighbourhoods to live in Turin? Residential but with nice shops and cafes?

Posted by admin on July 24th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 1 Comment »

I am considering moving to Turin and will be visiting in order to look at apartments etc. I would like to concentrate my search on streets that are in good neighbourhoods. I don’t need to be close to schools but relatively quiet and with easy walk to food shops and cafes.

I am from Turin, but I live in England now. Believe me, in Italy you will have no problem at all finding food shops and cafes at walking distance from anywhere you live. Italian cities are packed with cafes, literally one on every corner if not more. Same with food shops.
Crocetta should be a nice area, and also Mirafiori, and Lingotto (generally the south area of Turin is nicer than the north)

Are there any cafes in walking distance of the Mall of America?

Posted by admin on July 20th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 2 Comments »

I’m going to the Mall of America tomorrow, but the only time I can get there is at 9, an hour before it opens. I was just wondering if there are any cafes or such in walking distance (I won’t have access to a car) that I can wait in for an hour. I’d prefer I not need to loiter around the mall, but I’m not having much luck finding any cafes or restaurants nearby on google, so thank you for your knowledge!
    Thanks again, it’s greatly appreciated.

What cafes/restaurants in the West Village do you recommend?

Posted by admin on April 8th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 3 Comments »

There are so many different restaurants and cafes in the West Village of Manhattan, I’m overwhelmed as to which ones to visit. What places have y’all been to that you recommend? If you’re locals, that would be even cooler!

There’s a crepe cafĂ© on MacDougal, right between Bleecker and W 4th that’s nice and quick for a snack. For pizza, I prefer John’s Pizza, on Bleecker, right off of 7th ave, to Ray’s or Joe’s, but they only sell whole pizzas. For a slice, I’d go to Ray’s. I also love Risotteria on Bleecker and Leroy. Minetta Tavern is lovely if you’re looking for a elegant meal. It’s right off Washington Square Park on MacDougal.

Where can I find internet cafes/lans in Singapore that has Modern Warfare 2?

Posted by admin on April 6th, 2011 and filed under cafes | 1 Comment »

Me and my friends are planning to go to an internet cafe that has Modern Warfare 2. We would prefer one near the East around Tampines to Tanah Merah area, but we don’t know any except for a certain High cafe near Geylang. Could anyone provide more internet cafes and where they are located that has Modern Warfare 2?

"Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
On that day many will say to me, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name,
and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
And then will I declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.’

Why is it important for cafes and restaurants to attend food fairs? does it make their business more succesful?

Posted by admin on November 29th, 2010 and filed under cafes | 2 Comments »

Just wondering if attending food fairs would help my business grow. And also why is it important that i do attend these fairs. How can this make my business more succesful? And also what are some other ways i can promote my small cafe/restaurant business. I sell smoked meat to a few restaurants and cafes around melbourne. Thanks guys

Food fairs are basically a marketing/advertising type of thing. You let people either sample your food for free or charge them a small amount. If your food is good, that will start a word-of-mouth advertising chain, and you would probably see your sales revenue increase.
