Forget Starbucks. Chile’s coffee shops are more like strip joints. There businessmen are served their morning lattes by scantily clad girls. It’s unashamedly sexist and very, very popular.
The Cafés con piernas, or ‘coffee with legs’ have become a Chilean institution. They serve no alcohol or food and close at night. But from the moment they enter, men are fawned over by pretty, lingerie clad waitresses. Little wonder they make so much money. But a version for Chilean businesswomen failed. “Women didn’t come in — only gay men”.

Hey, SCREW STARBUCKS. I’m Chilean and I love these coffee shops, as a matter of fact, I’ve been to the one where the chick at 0:41 appears, she had a nun’s veil on that day and nothing else. Pretty sweet actually.
Anyway, the coffee shop in this piece isn’t that great, there’s one in that same alley like 40 feet away on the left that’s SOMETHING ELSE.

We are about to sue you ABC Australia for this phrase “Forget Starbucks. Chile’s coffee shops are more like strip joints.”, we have Starbucks (stupidly expesive coffee) and lots of other coffee shops that ARE NOT STRIP JOINTS! sure they are very popular (you don’t have to ask why) but there are also lots of coffee houses and other great places to eat or drink something. As a journalist you should think your words because there’s a lot of chilean people who speak English too.
