  • What does a 19 year old do or go to make friends or just have fun wich isn’t a cafe, bar or the movies?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under cafe bar | 12 Comments »

i just don’t get bars their too nosy to have a coversation and i’d never fit into one.

i dont get why anyone would go to a cafe to be social with people that are already their

and i watch ever single movie that comes out in blink of a eye.

I’m a bad example… I met my best friend in drug rehab. And the best was when I had to go to an anti-shoplifting class thing (because I got caught stealing sh!t)… I met my ex-girlfriend there. But this was all when I was a confused teenager.

Now, I make friends at bookstores and/or record stores. When you see people browsing through things that you’re interested in, it’s an easy way to start a conversation without feeling awkward.

I’ve also made some great friends at political rallies and protests.

But just work on being more outgoing. If you’re good at making friends, you can make them anywhere.

What stuff do you like to do? Join a group that’s involved in that thing.

Like riding your bike or talking about politics or dressing up like characters out of Star Trek? Like playing chess or sk8ing or dada poetry and spoken word slams? Whatever it is that floats your boat, you can bet there are a whole lot of other people who like to do that thing as well.

Find some in your local area and join in. You’ll have fun and meet a bunch of new people who love to do what you do, too.

making friends on the internet isnt a good thing, so don’t do that. do it the old-fashioned way. and people don’t like making friends in a bar, or cafe (especially girls, they’ll think you’re just trying to get in their pants) movies.. well it’s all dark in there? no one will notice you! try going jogging in the park, reading a book on a bench or at a coffee place, go to the gym, work at a place of interest, go shopping (or pretend to)

and don’t be afraid to approach anyone.

I made all my friends at NA. But that’s probably not good advice. But the point is, social groups, etc. Find people with similar interests, or in my case, similar problems.
